  • Bússola Tech organized on December 6th, 2022, a significant panel discussion titled "Institutional Leadership for Legislative Modernisation."

     

    This session convened a distinguished group of participants from diverse legislative and technological backgrounds to discuss the challenges and opportunities in modernizing legislatures. The panel featured esteemed figures such as Mrs. Ilana Trombka, the Director-General from the Senado Federal in Brazil, Mr. Jorge Lima, Public Policy Director from Itaú, Mr. Mark Stodder, President from Xcential Legislative Technologies, Mr. Miguel Landeros Perkic, Secretary-General from the Honorable Cámara de Diputadas y Diputados in Chile, and Mrs. Robin Treistman, Deputy-Director of the Website from the Knesset in Israel, with the session moderated by Mr. Luís Kimaid, Executive-Director from Bússola Tech.

     

    The discussion opened focusing on the balance between modernization and preserving legislative traditions. The conversation emphasized integrating technology while maintaining each institution's identity, highlighting the role of technical leadership from various parliamentary positions.

     

    The conversation then shifted to the role of the administrative staff in legislatures, discussing their critical support in the legislative process and the impact of a robust digital strategy on their roles and responsibilities.
